fever dream 3
I can neither explain nor defend what happened here. What I can say is that it made me laugh and it made me a little frightened .
Side Note: the morning after he’d seen this image, my spouse reported that he’d had a dream about his mother and in the dream her face was gone.

fever dream 2
If you’d ever wondered what would happen if you scanned a negative as a negative (instead of turning it into a positive) and then did a pile of edit-y things to it – this can (potentially) give you some answers.

fever dream, 1
Way back in time, during the COVID era, a photography studio in a neighboring town went out of business. They sold the props, the backdrops, the shelves. And boxes and boxes of negatives.
I bought some of the negatives with the idea that I’d do something with them someday.
Someday turns out to be: right now.
My imagination runs wild when I start manipulating these negatives, and I hope you’ll let yours do the same.

a vaguely threatening gesture
Oh, come ON, Dodge City. You can’t just leave this guy standing there gesturing at me without providing context! What is happening? Is he threatening me? Should have I not looked into his eyes? Will he haunt me now? What’s with that mustache? And a bowtie – really?
