Order Window

112015

If having a crush on a town is a thing, then I am pretty sure I have a crush on Spur. I go there often, and always find interesting things (like telephones or swimming pools or mysterious signs.)

On this particular trip, my friend Mary and I stopped for lunch at the Dixie Dog; we sat at the counter, which is how we were able to hear the cook say, when she’d caught up with the lunch orders, that she was going to step outside and smoke “a piece” of her cigarette.

How can you not have a crush on a town when you can hear something like that?

The Tidy Church

111915

It’s a nice little town, even though I didn’t notice roaring from any springs. But it did have a tidy church, so maybe that made up for the other thing.

Lace and an urn try to dress the place up

This little down just doesn’t have all that much going on downtown. So I really think the urn and the lace curtain really deserve a lot of credit for doing what they can to make the town look nicer.

Attracted to the Concept

I can’t explain why I like parking garages – preferably empty, and at night – as much as I do.

I also like laundromats and carwashes – also, preferably empty, and at night.

Hearts go Right

I did make the right turn the sign indicated, but never saw anything that it might have been pointing toward.

But it’s still a lovely heart.
