It didn’t look that lucky
Some sort of a gameroom, holding down a corner. Evidently, they no longer provide a sweepstakes, as that’s been (sort of) edited out.
Actually, they no longer provide anything: it’s out of business. A man from the house next door came over to see if I was interested in purchasing the building. He looked very confused when I said that I just wanted to photograph the place. I get that a lot.

I recall wanting to photograph a place in eastern Germany, many years ago, and got told that I was not allowed to be by an aggressive chap….I backed away

Yeah, I hate it when the aggressive chaps get their way.
Here’s my story about a similar man, from a few years ago when I was shooting with my friend Ehpem, who blogs at Burnt Embers. We refer to the incident, still, as The Day We Met the Rude Canadian.

It’s rare that anyone stops to talk or ask questions. But my Patient Spouse reports that many times people will slow down or stop and look around, trying to figure out what the hell it is that’s worthy of a photograph.
