I sometimes go into these places, but only if there’s not a “no trespassing” sign! I take those VERY seriously.

That’s exactly right! And maybe these are snow tires? Those are a thing in Nebraska, apparently.

There does seem to be a connection between the two. Further evidence is that neither snow nor snow tires are a thing here in Texas.
