Those folks are paid per delivery…no thought involved. I would know…did that once for a summer job. So rewarding.

From the looks of things, this storefront was last a viable business in the time when phone books were relevant. The addition of the book thus makes the scene all the sadder. Steve is right about being paid per delivery, but still, this speaks not well about the state of mind of this particular deliverer.

It sort os speaks not well about a lot of stuff.
But, still, just the sort of thing I like to photograph, as you are certainly aware.
