fisherman
I was dreaming of Sicily the other day when I was editing images. I mean, I’ve dreamt of Sicily every day since I got back, so that’s not really anything new. Anyway, that led me to prowl around my photos, both for nostalgic reasons and also to mine them for editing.
This portrait of a man fishing along the harbor in Palermo had been waiting on me to notice it; I appreciate its patience.

Thank you – my little group of photographers spent a long time shooting variations on this scene. The fishermen were very kind about it; they had a bucket of fish they’d caught and when we tried to circumvent the English-Sicilian language barrier to find out what kind of fish they were, the guys told us they were “fish.”
