sky/light

In one way, this is photo of a sky light.

In another way, it’s a photo of a now-useless light fixture presiding over an abandoned parking lot at an out-of-business business.

super service

I mean – I can read the sign. I can understand the words.

But still, somehow, I remained unconvinced that any service provided at this location would rise to the level of “super.”

trios

There’s not a lot in Vaughn, New Mexico, but the stuff that’s there is the stuff I like to photograph. And finding this shot from 2019 reminds me that I need to get back over there.

Thanks, photo archive, for the reminder!

toward the light

By now you are certainly aware that I do not mind photographing through store windows. For some reason I am fascinated by what things look like when no one’s around.

Also: those light fixtures are like the ones I had in my childhood bedroom.

the capture

However. I did go ahead and make one more to add to the huge body of similar images.
