You probably already know that if there’s a cemetery around I will definitely go and see what I can find. And here in Chimayó, the cemetery is bordered by two streets, one cliff, and a little farmyard that had a cow and a rooster and maybe a goat or two. And this weather-worn statue was so close enough to the cow that they could have had a conversation.

window saint

This adobe house sits just across the narrow dirt street from the town’s famous church. It seems like it’s close enough to perhaps get by without a window-saint, but the residents evidently felt otherwise.
