If there’s no rain, there’s no lake to speak of. This lake is currently at only 38.6% capacity. However, there’s a lake only 50 miles away from this one that’s at 12% capacity, so that makes this one practically at flood stage.
Droughts are awful.

X-ray vision
I first photographed this building back in 2013, and I posted shots of a very messy room and of an abandoned refrigerator. But I didn’t go inside.
Now, though, I’m bolder than I was five years ago, and on a return visit to Colorado City I just walked right on in. And found this treasure in a back room.

I took advantage of a weekend trip to a place with dark-ish skies to work on getting some photos of the night skies.

My son, who delights in goofiness, photobombed this shot by hopping around with a flashlight. And then he tripped over the firepit and fell down. The fun with us just never, ever stops.
