This place? Yeah, I have no idea what was going on – there were hundreds of travel trailers, in varying degrees of falling apart, parked side by side by side. (You can see an aerial view here. And now there are even more trailers than this view shows.)

Not all vacations end well, I suppose.

Cusp of the Storm

In just a matter of minutes, the weather changed. The thin grey clouds became low and heavy. The wind picked up, whipping the Spanish moss around. The trees groaned against the storm. And the photographer was very content with the entire situation.

In the heart of syrup country

That really is quite a bit of syrup, isn’t it?

I did the math so you didn’t have to. Those three barrels of syrup represent 800, 736 cups. Or 12,811,776 tablespoons.

Her simple gesture

A little sign out on the main road pointed us toward St. David’s Church.

The virgin seems a little defiant at the attention the spotlight is giving Her, don’t you think?

The most interesting thing about this is that it’s 19 feet below sea level.
