Attempts at a coverup

020515

Actually, I believe there were at least two attempts:

* that stucco around the top of the window has had something done to it
and
* obviously those signs in the window are hiding something.

And, of course, those curtains are pretty suspicious, now that I think about it.

The loudest silence

020415

This place left me feeling unsettled.

Maybe it was the way the trees were closing in on that old church. Or maybe it was the way I felt them closing in on me.

It might have been the plywood where the stained glass had been, like a blind eye somehow watching me.

Or it might have been truly a sinister place.

This?

This? Oh, it’s just a little something I found on a wall in Victoria last summer. And that’s absolutely all I’ve got to say, which I realize may come as a shock to some of you.

No, wait – there’s one more thing. I hadn’t really thought about baggy pantyhose in quite a long time. Until now.

There is much sadness

This tableau tells part of what must be a very sad story.
