Dennis Hopper was nearby
Our traveling companions were keen to find Dennis Hopper’s grave, which is not all that easily accomplished. But we stuck it out, and eventually located it.
In the meantime, there was this fantastic view of the mountains north of us.

Also, I showed this image in the end-of-class exhibit in photography school last week, and one of my classmates made an Ansel Adams reference. But it was nowhere nearly as funny as yours!

Thank you. The best puns just spill out, unbidden. The image really does remind me of Moonrise over Hernandez New Mexico. There is a cemetery in that image as well. Not as prominent, but it’s there.

Yes, it should. The actual location is nearly impossible to locate at this point, but one of these days I want to get back over there and explore a little more. My only visit was as part of a photography class and we had about 4 minutes to pay our respects, take pictures, and get back on the road to where we were really headed.
