The big plate glass windows were on the ground, in millions of pieces. But somehow, these jalousie windows were still intact. I guess they lack the inherent appeal of someone looking to have a dramatic second throwing a rock through a window.

    • Yes, I am completely captivated by them. My part of Texas – and the part of New Mexico that’s just across the state line – are full of little towns that are dying away; that means all those places are full of my favorite subjects.
