When I should have had a red filter

I am my own worst enemy. How much room does a red filter take up? None, practically. How much better are b+w photos with sky and clouds when you use one? A lot. Yet somehow, there I was shooting without one.

  1. Yeah, that would have been even more dramatic. Not bad though. Do you use Nik filters? Their SilverEfex Pro does a nice job of simulating filters and different films.

    • I do use the SilverEfex filters, all the time. Most of what I post is shot with a b&w camera, so the filters don’t work since there aren’t any color pixels in the image. But when I do start out in color, I’ve been happy with the effects of the filters.
