a shadow of itself

Out at my place on the rim of a canyon*, it’s usually too windy to catch a photo like this – generally these thin stalks of grass are whipping around at blur-inducing rate.

But the there was this one day in December when it was sunny and warm and calm. So I made this image.

*I mean, it’s not the Grand Canyon, but nevertheless, it is still a canyon.

sun/flower

This isn’t exactly a botanical image. In fact, it’s not even truly close.

But still: it makes me think of a sunflower.

the mysteries of reflection

You don’t have to wait long for me to post a photo of a window reflection.

I am endlessly fascinated by the way they distort what’s there, making reality a bit skewed.

Oh, look: another botanical image found its way here…

carts

From the looks of things, the Abell-Prewitt Implement Company has gone out of business, leaving behind an array of merchandise. And two very dusty shopping carts.

I don’t know where residents of Ralls currently go to obtain their implements…

Also: what are residents of Ralls called? Ralls-ites? Rallsians? Rallers?
