let there be lighting

It was so nice to eat a spicy Thai dinner on the shady side of the building. And when I was finished eating,  it was also nice to look around and make a few photos…

The place – Line Thai – was so good that I ate there twice on my last visit, even though that violates my Travel Terms of Service, which mandates a one-time-per-trip policy.

broken

I will turn down tiny roads that go to country cemeteries as often as I can, which is how I found this place the other day. It was just the right amount of overgrown and broken down.

the best building in town (twice)

It’s a shame that whatever this place used to be isn’t that thing any more. It really is a nice building and it was thoughtful for the puddle to step in and provide an opportunity for reflection. I just had to stand a little bit in the roadway to get the right angle on the photograph…

wine/glass

Really, who can resist taking a photo of a group of wineglasses?

A lot of people, I guess: I was the only one who took advantage of this photographic situation…

Some towns are like this: you know for sure there’d recently been a tornado there but the various conditions in town made it hard to ascertain if there’d been damage.

You’ve probably been to one of these places yourself.
