with every heartbeat

We wandered around Bob Wills’s hometown, ate ice cream for lunch*, checked out what was going on at the hotel.

And then when we left, we played “Faded Love.”

*Don’t judge us. We did what we did.

yellow fish

Usually Santa Rosa is a drive through place, on my way elsewhere. Rarely, I’ll stop for the night, like I did last month.

And because it was a beautiful evening, with a hint of cool in the air, I spent a long time outside making photos of things like a concrete pier at the local town lake. Those yellow fish sort of drew me in to the scene…

even numbers

Naturally, with it being Texas and all, the motel had horse stalls for rent. And, also naturally, I went over to check it out.

There wasn’t a single horse, but wow! That light was stunning.

“daddy” seems ominous in this context

444

According to the internet, the number 444 is an “angel number”; it’s thought to be a message from angels that you are on the right path and that they are supporting you.

The internet also says 444 can be indicative of bringing order to chaos, which obviously has not happened here. So far.
