celebrating years

I love how the Munger Moss Motel is proud of being on Route 66, but also sort of shy about announcing just how many years they’ve been there. I mean, I get it: I’m of a “certain age” myself and would prefer to have to say that big ol’ number out loud.

So, same, Munger Moss Motel, same.

Pinga’s

I haven’t been out shooting new stuff in a while, so here’s some older things (but never before edited, so they’re also new).

This restaurant in Missouri didn’t make it, even with the decorative saguaro painted on the building. It’s a shame.

tiny rivers

The only reason I saw these tiny rivers easing their way from the puddle behind them is that I sat in the drizzle and took some time to look around me. You know: just being a photographer.

“espresso shots”

Yikes! There’s a lot going on here. But my favorite (and the reason for the photo) is the paper plate that’s serving as a sign on the wall of this bakery.

But I do wonder what exactly is the difference between regular espresso shots and their offer of “espresso shots.”

close enough to touch

I never really imagined that I’d be in a hurricane and surely never thought that if I were in one, I’d be Boston when it happened.

Yet, here I was, watching Hurricane Ida rolling right along.
