eventually it rained

It was monsoon season in northern New Mexico. Every morning started out with perfectly clear skies and by mid-afternoon clouds began to build up for the evening rainfall. After the rain, the air was clear and cool. It was delightful.

And photogenic.

You may recall that for a really long time, I shot only in black and white. That was my thing. There was (from what I could tell) no reason to even think about doing anything else.

But this right here? With all the color?

She was so nice about letting me take her photo the other day. It just shows what people* keep telling me: if you’re friendly and polite most of the time you’ll get a yes when you ask someone if you can take their photo.

Kids are hilarious. No matter if it’s cold or if it’s hot, they are always ready to race somebody. And of course their adult opponents will let them win.
