the ghost bike
I got my photographic start by making images of roadside crosses and other memorials, and the habit of scanning roadsides and looking for memorials has never really left. I don’t always stop these days, but every now and then I see one that needs my attention.
This was one of them.

reflections of small town life
Every time I go to Littlefield, there’s something that catches my attention. On this particular trip I made a lot of photos of this shiny thing (not a mirror – I don’t know what it was) leaning against a wall. I particularly noticed the way its reflection was monochromatic while the rest of the scene, though quite ragged, was colorful.

number 8, on the move
Number eight, over there on the right is in the fifth grade. She’s been playing soccer since she was in pre-Kindergarten. She’s also played volleyball, basketball, and softball. She plays golf with her dad and can’t wait until she’s old enough to run track at school.
This season, she’s also playing flag football so there are two games almost every Saturday.
And she’s my granddaughter Bennett.
