We saw these gentlemen sitting outside, rewiring a light fixture. And like nearly everyone we encountered in Sicily, they were more than happy to have a chat with us, even though there wasn’t a common language.

a hint of a rainbow

Early morning in Havana, with a tiny sliver of a rainbow. Those clouds were moving toward us and shortly we had to make a dash to shelter when the rain came.

window-washing day had not yet arrived

I thought what I wanted was for the curtains to be in focus.

The camera thought what it wanted was for the paint drips and dirt on the window to be in focus.

Turns out the camera was right. Sometimes that happens.

I drove all the way from Lubbock to Hobbs so I could take this photo.

(I also ate some delicious posole for lunch and did a little shopping. Oh, I looked at the annular eclipse.)
