three window units

I couldn’t tell by utilizing context clues if this hotel was still operational. Google Maps thinks it is, but then again, Google Maps wasn’t there…

But anyway, if the place IS open and you decide to spend your summer vacation here in Roaring Springs, go ahead and get a room with a window air-conditioning unit. It’ll be worth it.

old firetruck in the rain

I went to two little towns the other day; the towns are less than ten miles apart and not at all similar except that both of them have (for some reason) ancient and ragged firetrucks parked outside. I’m not sure what the deal is, but anyway, I did get photos of both of them because that’s the way I am.

The operator of this business was clear about a few things. Cash only for parts and labor. And he was not responsible for fire or theft. I don’t know that he had a plan for what he’d do if the walls fell down.
