bowl

I really hope that in its past the “bowl” sign was neon instead of just that faded paint.

But the main thing here is that partly-painted, non-matching green wall. It reminds me of when we’ve tried to match the paint on the walls at home and every single time, it worked just about this well.

wayfinding

Some places have trees that grow along the road. We’ve got something similar, only it’s signage sprouting all over the place.

(You may think, “Wow, only 98 more miles to Big Lake. I bet it’s nice there in the summer, what with a big lake and all!” DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRICK.)

got the blues

I think at some point this building had been a school but those days are pretty far in the past. Now it’s falling down (literally) and filling up with dirt from frequent dust storms (also literally).

However, I greatly admire someone’s decision to go with the blue glazed bricks AND the blue desks. That was a bold decision (maybe) but it’s still paying off (in my opinion).

sturgeon moon

It really is hard to beat a summer night at a baseball game. And when you can see the Sturgeon Moon rise over the field…it’s just about perfect!
