the font on the wall

What can I say? If I’d been able to place the light exactly where I wanted it to be, it would be have been this arrangement.

cloud/cross

There’s not much to say about this – and I can prove it by telling you that I spent a lot of minutes at my keyboard trying to write this post.

So, unless I think of something, I’ll just leave it like this. But, hey! Now you can use all those seconds you WOULD have spent reading this stuff to gaze upon the photo and come away thinking, “Wow – that’s some great time management right there!”

water/color

Movement on the top of the water kept this shot of the rock steps nicely abstract. That wasn’t necessarily the effect I was going for, but it was the one I got.

I don’t hate it.

alpacas enjoy carrots

On our last night in Tesuque, after we’d gone to see Lyle Lovett at the Santa Fe Opera, we stopped by a grocery store to get carrots. Not because we needed some vitamins or a delicious orange snack – we went because the handbook o’ instructions at our vacation rental indicated that the resident alpacas loved carrots. We’d been watching the alpacas all week and wanted to leave on good terms and all, so we fed them the carrots then got in the car and headed onward.

But not before the property manager showed us the bear tracks from the night before. (We did not provide bear snacks.)

Then there was this time…
