The Hate Door

Yes. Well. I guess this about sums it up.

Not Responsible

Sometimes if I feel like taking photos but don’t quite know where to go, I’ll head to the nearby town of Littlefield, where I can almost always find enough subjects to fill up my time.

On my most recent visit, I looked through the windows of the out-of-business dry cleaners and was nicely rewarded with an assortment of junk. And some shirts, way back in the back, that I guess will never be reunited with their owner(s).

Sinuous and Tragic

It makes me sad to think that someone’s life ended here, under the vast and beautiful New Mexican sky and along the gently curving highway.

I always think I am through photographing these roadside memorials, but I never really am.

The Message

Seemed a little ominous, so I just skipped a whole step and didn’t even go in.

Another bad ending

The spray-painted non-official notice on the front of this house indicated it was scheduled for demolition on December 7, 2020. Obviously that didn’t happen, but it looks as though the house is demolishing itself, rendering the missed date more or less beside the point.
