a lady always wears pearls
Yes, ladies, pearls are the proper accessory. According to the Internet, they “create a visual impact that feels both timeless and trendy, making them the perfect accessory for everything from a cozy sweater to a sleek cocktail dress.” Additionally, they also make an impact if you are a naked mannequin in a shop window in Oklahoma. And, honestly, it’s hard to be more timeless and more trendy than that.

He was 19. And an expectant father.
He rolled his truck trying to outrun the police.
His obituary says his nickname was “Big Daddy.”
The police say he was driving without headlights.
The truck on the mural doesn’t have its headlights on, either.

I was in Sudan (the town, not the country) the other Sunday morning. This church seems to be abandoned, but there was some preachin’ going on a block away in the town square. It was echoey and I couldn’t make out words but I knew it was a sermon from the cadence of it.
Oh, and also, I’d already driven by and seen it.

only one smile
Evidence suggests that wig-head models share sharp-featured Caucasian faces, big eyes, thin eyebrows, graceful swan-like necks (which they can pose at a variety of odd angles), and geometric heads. The jauntier of them may toss on a scarf from time to time.
But they rarely find anything to smile about.

If you can even believe this, none of the three people who walked by while I was poking my camera through the security gate to get this shot even acted like they wished THEY had had the same idea. However, as far as I could tell, all three of them did possess human hair.
