mercado industrial (reflexión)
It is still weird to me that my eyes will parse out reflections to see what’s actually in a scene, but my camera’s like, “Nope. You gotta see it the way I see it.” and keeps all the stuff I wouldn’t have noticed.
But on the other hand, how nice that the camera shows me a man who is roughly the size of a backpack (and to make it a little more trippy – he’s WEARING a backpack.)

everything but the kitchen sink
I *may* have followed this woman for a few blocks trying to get a shot of her new sink. I wish I’d seen the place where she purchased it – I did go into one store that was nearby and saw their section titled “quincalla” (hardware) but never made it to the section for “fregaderos de cocina” (kitchen sinks).

college kids
I have a soft spot in my heart for college kids: they seem so young, they’re vulnerable but maybe don’t know it, they try so hard. Sometimes when I see a college student eating alone, I want to (1) cry, (2) go sit with them, (3) buy their lunch, and sometimes (4) call up their mom. I know it’s weird, and I can’t help it.
So this sign telling college students when they could get a food box? Goodness, it broke my heart.

PS – the tendency of people my age to blame all the wrongs of society on college-age kids really pisses me off. I mean, things are the way they are because that’s what we left for them. They JUST GOT HERE. Give them a chance and give them a break. [End of speech.]
