yellow (dead and alive)

If I knew anything about what sort of flowers these are, I would definitely tell you. All I can say with any level of confidence, however, is that they are yellow. And here’s a color photo to prove that my botanical assessment is on point.

several levels of security

Really, I hope that none of you were under the impression that you could just…walk…into this abandoned mill complex. Because the security is very tight, with padlocks and chains, heavy twill tape, chainlink fencing with the pokey bits at the top, and barbed wire.

Look! Another state, another time I carried my camera into the restroom.

You’re welcome.

sun/shade

This guy? He was the smartest person on the whole First Friday Art Trail. It was hot – really hot, like 103° – and he had the foresight to bring his own shade structure with him.

Kudos, Umbrella Guy!

Also, check out the dude in the hoodie. I hope he was warm enough.

chad

This is Chad. He’s a big deal in the local arts scene. And here he is at First Friday the other night, working on a new metal sculpture.

When he’s not busy making stuff, he’s also the Executive Director at Charles Adams Studio Project (CASP), which is a key part of the support that local artists and arts lovers enjoy.
