shower/stall

It was off season, so the door to the marina’s outdoor shower was nailed shut. For photographic purposes, all that meant was that I just stuck my camera over the top and made a few pictures. You know, the way I do.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I only do stuff like this if I am at least 100% certain that shower (or whatever I’m photographing) is unoccupied. It would be too weird otherwise. And also, probably illegal.

carnival (off season)

It felt like going to the beach in the off season was like walking around the back of a building: nothing much going on, except that everything was going on in a way that made clear nothing there cared if you noticed it or not.

Skyblast

This is just the latest in my series of images of off-season fireworks stands. You can see the other photos here and here and here and here and here.

Off Season

No horses for hire until spring. Until then, the helmets and chairs will just wait – patiently, I’m assuming – for business to return.

Available Seating

In the summer, these seats are full of people who’ve come here to see the musical “Texas”, a musical that’s (sort of) based on the history of this part of Texas. (Apparently ALL the early settlers could sing and dance! Amazing!)

Anyway, at the end of December, the place is empty.

Guess which way I like it?
