this raises some questions

sea/glass
I started the run of photos from my trip with a sunset, so I guess it makes sense to end with a sunrise…
The way those waves were backlit by the rising sun fascinated me: it reminds me of molten glass. And you can go ahead and relax because I will only post this one image (of the 100 or so that I made of the exact same thing).

ivy league (sort of)
The cemetery chapel was covered with ivy that was just starting to think about putting on its fall reds, which would have been a beautiful display. But, really, I didn’t hate the way it looked when I saw it, and especially liked the way the wavy gold glass was peeking through the leaves.

still water
My friends and I went down to the water to see if the sunset was going to be worth photographing. (It was, as you may have already seen in a previous post.) While we waited for the sky to go out in a glorious flame of orange, we wandered around taking photos. You know, the way you do.

fascinators
As soon as I noticed that these statues had spiders on their head, it made me think of those posh British-y hats called “fascinators.”
According to my research, which took between one and two minutes, the proper placement of a fascinator is on the right side. So while I can give these statues partial credit for their effort at being fancy, I believe they ought to have been more conscientious about the placement.
Also, it’s probably just me, but when I picture St. Brendan, I tend to see him in golf attire.
