This building is boarded up now, but back in the Olden Days of 2014, all I had to do to see this scene was to walk down the alley and look through the broken glass.

The real question here (and it’s one I cannot answer) is why I would have waited 405 weeks between when I made this photo and when I posted it.

i couldn’t see (an abstraction)

Hello, and welcome to Tricks of the Trade Friday. Here’s another one in my ongoing series of photos shot through dirty windows. I guessed* at the focus, held the camera as high as I could, put it right up to the glass, and made the photo. I am not quite sure what the camera saw, but anyway – here it is.

stepping up

Well, just look at what I went and did! Yes! I walked around to the back of this building. It was worth the trip, because I found this nice scene, just waiting for me to arrive.
