a place to wait for death

The first thing that caught my attention in this cemetery was that it was so green – a think carpet of green clover (or something) covered nearly everything. It was a sunny day and the green was almost too much for my eyes to handle.

The second thing I noticed was that folding chair against a tree and facing toward the headstones.

And then after that, I noticed that chair was chained and padlocked to the tree. It felt like a sad story.

greenwood (unfocused)

Sometimes it just feels good to un-focus a shot. This was one of those times.

i believe dolls are inherently creepy

This is not the first time I’ve posted a photo of a doll (or dolls) in a window. And it’s also not the first time that I have wondered if the term “creepy doll” is redundant.

It’s just the most recent time it’s occurred to me.

does fashion need to be painful?

I sort of see the attraction to a jacket with spikes in the sleeves – it might help discourage people in the grocery store checkout line from standing too close. But since COVID and all, that’s not nearly the problem that I seem to remember.

Otherwise, I’m not sure I get it. Figuratively. Or, you know, literally.

cherry

I love to visit downtowns on Sunday mornings. There’s something about the empty streets and closed businesses that I find interesting. And sometimes you get to spot a KitchenAid mixer RIGHT THERE, which automatically makes for a good downtown visit.
