chad

This is Chad. He’s a big deal in the local arts scene. And here he is at First Friday the other night, working on a new metal sculpture.

When he’s not busy making stuff, he’s also the Executive Director at Charles Adams Studio Project (CASP), which is a key part of the support that local artists and arts lovers enjoy.

the finest hat

I saw this well-dressed person at the art trail the other night; they were in line at a food truck and I sure didn’t want to delay their dinner by getting a photograph.

Then, a half-hour or so later – there they were again. And this time, the background was a perfect match for the excellent outfit.

And you know what happened next.

the ranch

Y’all! I did a thing that was SO RUDE.

I ignored my “real” camera, all set up on a tripod and patiently waiting for me to decide what I was going to photograph. And instead, I went ahead and used my phone camera to get this shot. It just goes to show.

18 and 7 are down for the count

I have a thing for photographing laundromats. I have no idea why – it’s just a subject that frequently captures my eye.

Combine that with my well-know affinity for photographing abandoned places and it’ll get you this image from an out-of-business place I spotted in Louisiana a few years ago.

What’s left of a cool neon sign – but its neon-y days are gone and seem unlikely to return…
