In spite of everything, they maintained an open-door policy

Our weekend place.

Sort of. It’s a place we call The Hut that came with a place we’ve got in the country. It’s not in good repair, as you can easily see, and one of these days it’ll fall all the way down. Until then, though, I’ll photograph it as I think of it. (Like here. And here. And here. And here. And here. And here. And here.)

    • It does inspire me – for a while, there was a plan to build our own place right there, which meant the hut would have been torn down. I was glad when the plans change, because I am happier watching it fall down on its own.
