it’s been a while…

It looks like it’s been a while since anyone pulled that vine off the fire escape stairs. But it adds a nice soft element in a downtown alleyway.

the accidental selfie

I was too busy making this photo (and dealing with that bright, glaring light) that I didn’t even notice that I was in the shot. It’s obvious that I would have been, but in the heat of the moment, I failed to see myself.

Municipal Government

There was a time, early in my career, when I thought that the field of city management seemed particularly interesting and worth pursuing. I think I started to rethink that position when the city manager told me that a gentleman here in Lubbock phoned him every morning that the garbage truck woke him up. “I’m awake and you should be, too.” was the message every time.

But I still notice city halls when I travel.
