The thing about wandering around without an agenda or plan or anywhere else to be is that sometimes tiny gems will reveal themselves to you, like this tidy and unnamed private cemetery several miles off the main highway.

Hooper

The helmet caught my eye – and it would have caught yours, too, I think – as it’s not a typical thing to spot in a cemetery.

Much sadness: Nathan Hooper was 27 years old when he died and had only been married about a year and a half; his safety helmet seems ironic.
