Look! Another state, another time I carried my camera into the restroom.

You’re welcome.

fisherman

I was dreaming of Sicily the other day when I was editing images. I mean, I’ve dreamt of Sicily every day since I got back, so that’s not really anything new. Anyway, that led me to prowl around my photos, both for nostalgic reasons and also to mine them for editing.

This portrait of a man fishing along the harbor in Palermo had been waiting on me to notice it; I appreciate its patience.

I had been to Alamogordo before, but never with a camera in my hand. And that meant I had also never strayed even one inch off the highway through town.

pedestrian

In case you were wondering (and I am pretty sure that you were not), this is just a random side street heading off from Via Vittorio Emanuele. That group of pedestrians headed my way looked a little intimidating but in fact were not.

church/flowers

Delivery people were hard at work bringing large flower arrangements into the church. I don’t know if it was in preparation for anything in particular or just a regular Thursday flower delivery.

And here’s one of my greatest missed-opportunity shots, on the outside of the same church. I didn’t have time to really frame the shot, which is why that poor man has only one foot. And it’s also what I call a “fatal error” – a thing I can’t get past. But still: I’m posting it anyway. Caution to the wind and all that.
