Plainsky
An abandoned grain elevator, a lot of horizon, and even more sky are three things I quite enjoy finding in one convenient location. (Within an hour of when I made this shot, the sky had cleared completely. I am happy that the clouds stuck around long enough.)

Weigh House
In May of 2014, this place was sturdy enough that I walked inside and took this picture of the scales. The other day, the scales were still there but most of the floor and a good part of the ceiling had given way. Good thing I went inside in 2014, I guess.

to frame the sky
Yes, this is a u-turn shot: the sign slide past before my brain registered how cool that hole was. But as soon as it caught up, I turned around to get the shot. I had to. (Also: I had to do it in color. Trust me: I tried a black and white version but the image just insisted on being in color.)
