Why, yes, I did wait sort of a long time until that weird disembodied hand (advertising something?) returned to the TV in the corner. It added just the right amount of “what the hell is happening here?” that I was hoping to capture.

This of course was not the only time I saw a place with signage proclaiming the place was open only to see about a million context clues that told me otherwise. But for some reason, the mixed message at this hapless place was more entertaining than any of the other ones.

Y’all know how it is: you see that sign right there by the road and there’s no one else around so you just decide to…shoot at it.

sometimes patriotism is blurry

I guess this guy feels prepared for whatever it is he fears. And I am pretty sure that he wasn’t a fan of me or my camera…..
