judgey much

Hang on JUST ONE MINUTE, Wishing Well Motel. I am well aware of my age and I really don’t appreciate your saying “welcome to old.” I mean, maybe you meant it kindly, but honestly, it struck me as being sort of judgey.

do you know

Do you know your employees? Do you know if they like tacos?

tin ceiling

Winter got to Joplin the very same day that I did, so my photos were made on very short walks. One of these walks (a walkette?) I happened to see what I am sure started its life as a car repair garage. Currently it is a restaurant supply place and kudos to the current people for keeping those old tin ceilings. That’s a nice bit of history and nostalgia.

hotel, via roma

A reasonably typical summer evening, only I was in Palermo instead of Texas.
(Evenings can last a long time: a cafe near our b+b stayed open until 4:00 am on the weekends. If you timed it right, you could grab dinner about 2:30 and then head out to photograph the dawn.)

anxieties

It’s not enough that the dog has anxieties, but I had to go and not even get his WHOLE FACE in the photo. How rude of me. I mean, I’m not like the biggest dog-lover you’ll ever see, but I still feel bad about my actions.

I only hope the dog is anxious to the point where his human keeps him away from social media so he won’t know what I did.
