105 Windowpanes

I’ve lived just a few hours away from this place for decades, but until April 25, 2021, I had never heard of it. And of course I was unaware of the existence of these 105 windowpanes.

There’s no forgetting it now, though!

Vine and Adobe Wall

It seems perfectly reasonable, given my fondness of places that are falling down or otherwise past their prime, that I’m mostly drawn to a scene of a vine hugging an adobe wall when there aren’t any leaves on the vine.

Yes, it IS the variety

I am pretty sure that sign on the mural is referring to the variety of beverages available at the bar.

Signs of the Times

Two years ago, signs like this wouldn’t have made the least bit of sense. One year ago, they would have been outside in the restaurant parking lot so people knew where to part for their to-go order to be brought out to them.

It’s nice to see them relegated to the restroom hallway this year. And think how nice it’ll be when they are gone completely.

Sky-Claw

The desert has a certain scratchy quality that I rather like…as long as the scratchy stuff doesn’t, you know, scratch ME.
