That one afternoon in Paris when I stepped inside a small church, I found heavenly light right there in front of me.

It was chilly that morning on the pier, and sort of halfway between drizzle and actual rain. I was struggling that day and finally gave up on the situation and the weather and went inside for coffee. It was just the break I needed, and as I turned to leave, I saw this delightful pair.

When I’m traveling, I can happily spend airport time making photos. And, also, I like to create stories about the people I see – I’m not stalker-y or anything; I just make a few quick assumptions about them and about where they’re going and why they need to be there today. And this woman? I only saw half of her, but am pretty sure that she was only half-hearted about making that particular trip…

At some point there was a catastrophic kitchen failure – the cabinet with all the dishes just…fell off the wall. However, based on context clues around the building, it may not even matter that much.
