As is it turns out, San Saba is the pecan capital of the world*, so it’s easy to find things with pecan-themed names.
And that’s how it happened that I sat in the Papershell** Bar and had an old fashioned made with pecan bitters.

Well, first of all, it’s a whole lot of fun to say “Tchoupitoulas.” Try it.*
And second of all, if you need a delicious sandwich for lunch, you can stop by the St. James Cheese Company, right there at Tchoupitoulas and Girod.
And, finally, when you’re done with your sandwich you can sit and watch what ever is happening along the sidewalk. And maybe get a few photos while you’re at it.
