It seems questionable
Yes, I know that is says “drive-up window” but I find that proclamation to be questionable, at best. For one thing, the place is vacant. And for another, there’s that wooden box blocking access to the windows.

Here’s a tree, by a lake, on a summer day. In the winter the lake is covered with Canada geese, who winter (for some reason?) in Levelland.

Fish out of water, in a manner of speaking
I’m an urban planner by profession, so land use patterns interest me. This city block has a cotton gin and a church on it, which is…well, I’m not sure what it is. Uncommon, at least.
And, then, on the vacant part of the block are all these boats. Is someone over at the church anticipating Biblical-level floods? Are we thinking rising sea levels will impact us here, at our High Plains elevation of 3,500 feet? Is it an art installation? Is it some kind of housing program for homeless boaters? What the hell is happening here?

Just checking in
Every few years I remember to drive out by my favorite sign of all time. One of these days I will have waited too long to get one more photo, though, and that will be a sad discovery.
