yellow (dead and alive)

If I knew anything about what sort of flowers these are, I would definitely tell you. All I can say with any level of confidence, however, is that they are yellow. And here’s a color photo to prove that my botanical assessment is on point.

several levels of security

Really, I hope that none of you were under the impression that you could just…walk…into this abandoned mill complex. Because the security is very tight, with padlocks and chains, heavy twill tape, chainlink fencing with the pokey bits at the top, and barbed wire.

Y’all! I did a thing that was SO RUDE.

I ignored my “real” camera, all set up on a tripod and patiently waiting for me to decide what I was going to photograph. And instead, I went ahead and used my phone camera to get this shot. It just goes to show.

I have a thing for photographing laundromats. I have no idea why – it’s just a subject that frequently captures my eye.

Combine that with my well-know affinity for photographing abandoned places and it’ll get you this image from an out-of-business place I spotted in Louisiana a few years ago.
