light my way so i get this right
Maybe my quick trip out of town the other day seemed silly, or selfish, or just plain confusing. I’m not saying it wasn’t any of those things, but on the other hand, it sort of feels like I went all that way to see this pink-haired mannequin in a store window…and it was worth the drive.

the case of the nightmare doll
The evidence keeps accumulating. And as it does, I become more and more convinced that “creepy dolls” is a redundant term.
(Also – and my shooting partner for the day will verify this – all the dolls in this window display were zip-tied in place. ZIP-TIED. What the hell is going on?)

The windows at this out-of-business store were papered over, probably to keep people like me from peeking inside. However, a tape failure gave me the opportunity I was seeking. And I try to not let opportunities pass me by – I think they’re placed in my path for a reason – so I sure did look into the display window. And was richly rewarded by those pajamas. Although those buttons look like they are not very sleep-friendly, which may account for the pjs never selling.
